The Rev. Baffour Nkrumah-Appiah

Senior Pastor

Baffour is the Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church of Randolph, MA, after serving as the Executive Pastor for five years under the Rev. Doctor Roger Haber, who is currently the Pastor Emeritus.

He did his undergraduate work at Fordham University in New York City, receiving a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Finance. He went on to graduate school at Emmanuel College in Boston, Massachusetts for a Master of Science in Management and Marketing.

After meeting his lovely wife Christiana, he moved to Boston permanently in 1994. They have two boys, Alexander (27) and William (26).

The Lord continued to use them in Boston as directors of the junior church and later as deacons at the historic Twelfth Baptist Church of Boston under Rev. Dr. Michael E. Haynes for several years.

After twenty years as a vice president in the banking industry, he answered His calling and returned to complete an additional master's in Urban Theology, and is currently finishing his Doctor of Ministry degree at Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary.

Rev. Debra E Smith

Pastor of Discipleship / New Membership

Master of Counseling Degree from University of Phoenix, and 25 years of experience in the Behavioral Health field.

Ordained with American Baptist Churches of MA in 2019 after serving at FBCR since 2010 in various ministerial capacities.

Rev. LaVall Mitchell-Brown

Membership and Outreach Pastor

Pastor LaVall, as popularly known, has been teaching and doing outreach programs for churches and organizations around the country.

Her Monday morning Bible study group is the place to be for both members and non-members alike. She is loved by the sick and shut-ins as visitation is a passion of hers.

She also does prison visitation, as well as individual and group prayer ministries.

Dr. Roger Haber

Pastor Emeritus

Dr. Roger Haber began his ministry as Transitional Pastor at First Baptist Church of Randolph on June 1, 2011. On March 24, 2013, Dr. Haber was elected as the full-time pastor of the church.

Dr. Haber received his Bachelor of Arts in Social Science and Secondary Education from Stony Brook University (New York), his Master of Divinity from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (S. Hamilton, MA), and his Doctor of Ministry from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary (Lombard, IL).

After completing ten years of ministry at First Baptist, Dr. Haber became the Executive Vice-President (Atlantic Zone) for Marketplace Chaplains USA — a ministry that provides employee care and sharing the gospel in workplaces throughout North America.

He and his wife Nanci have been married for over 35 years. They have two adult sons, Timothy and Jeremy, two grandsons — Landon and Jameson — and a granddaughter, Mara Lynn. They reside in Melissa, TX (near Dallas).

Pastor Roger & Nanci will stay connected to the church as Pastor Emeritus and look forward to connecting with their loving church family when they come east.
